Obverse Description	The obverse is blank with the slightest traces of the original design visible near the edges.
Reverse Description	The reverse is dominated by a tree like object with five branches at the top (three to the left and two to the right) and three roots at the bottom. The branches on the right have a thin line leading from them. To the left and right of the tree are bars with a wave like pattern in each. At the head of each bar, by the tree trunk, is a crescent. Below the tree is a a crooked line.

This coin is Gallo Belgic D (GB-D) “Ornate Lines” quarter stater, and was minted in Belgic Gaul to finance resistance to Caesar during the Gallic Wars. This particular type is thought to have been minted over the winter of 55/54 BC.
